Training Services

Focus Enterprises and IS3, the Innovation School for the Third Sector, offer a range of personal development, business development and skills development services. Our clients include public sector authorities, small, medium and large companies, charities, community groups, local authorities and other social enterprises. We have a team of specialists with extensive business management, education and care sector experience and, as part of an established care sector charity, teams active in the development, management and delivery of social and medical care. Building on this know-how, in addition to business start up and development training and consultancy services, we provide tailored training to third sector health and social care professionals and practitioners as well as volunteers and carers.

Our standard training services include Sight Loss Awareness and Disability Awareness Training for practitioners in all sectors and any organisation that needs to ensure its staff not only comply with legislation but also meet the needs of people with disabilities in line with good customer services strategies. Additional training options include courses covering the following topics: Dignity at Work, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Children, Non Verbal Communications, Access to Work and other disabled employee support systems, Compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and other legislation.

We also provide training in areas of business and personal development, including innovation and creativity, using social media, presentation skills and assertiveness, women’s development, telephone skills and team building.
